Pastor Russell Howelton is a native of San Antonio. He graduated from Sam Houston High School. He is a graduate of St. Philips College, Texas State Univ. in San Marcos,TX and the Univ.Tx. Health Science Center in Houston. He has worked as an H.E.B. grocery store stock clerk, a Respiratory Therapist, and as Chief Cardiovascular Perfusionist for the U.T. Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Pastor Howelton has a Masters in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has worked in youth ministry, men's ministry, marriage ministry, Sunday school, and as a counselor for the Billy Graham crusade. He has been married to Dr. Linda F. (Hall) Howelton for over 25 years. They have two sons, Jared and Zachary. (Both are Eagle Scouts!)
Pastor Howelton has a passion for evangelism, and desires that all would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. He also believes that, as it relates to sin, everyone should realize that we don’t get what we really deserve, but rather we are all beneficiaries of God’s amazing GRACE! (His unmerited favor)
