Usher & Greeters

Ushers and Greeters are often the first people newcomers will meet at Skybridge Community Church. This important welcoming ministry helps our guests get oriented and our regular attenders feel at home—and also aids in setting the tone for weekly worship service.

Greeters warmly express welcome, escort people to destinations, creating confidence that all entering the building are never alone and lost while Ushers guide people to seating, take offerings and help maintain worship center user items.

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Hospitality Ministry is to offer the love of Christ to our guests and welcome them in such a way that they would be transform from strangers into friends. The word hospitality literally means love of strangers and is found several times in the New Testament (Romans 12:13; 1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:8; 1 Peter 4:9).

Goals

1. Make every guest, member, or attender feel they are special and belong here.

2. Eliminate barriers to visitors coming to Skybridge Community Church

3. Decrease the stress, anxiety, and confusion for visitors.

4. Encourage transformation from visitor to member.

Time Commitment

Ushers and greeters are present at least ½ hour before services. They are also available after the service to help guests find their way around campus and to answer questions.
