It is with great pleasure that the women’s ministries (The Bridge) invite you to our annual Women’s Retreat on October 10-12, 2019. What a blessing this retreat has been year after year, and we are so excited about joining with you for 3 days packed with fellowship, fun, and growth in the Lord!
Our theme this year is ‘Empowered by The Spirit’, Romans 8: 5-6. The scripture says: 5) Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6) The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
The retreat will be held at the beautiful Fredericksburg Inn & Suites. Discover a tranquil oasis in the heart of Texas Hill Country at Fredericksburg Inn & Suites, located on five beautiful acres alongside Barons Creek.
At Fredericksburg Inn & Suites their guestrooms are designed to leave you feeling refreshed, so you can enjoy your time in the Hill Country to the fullest. All lodging includes free wireless Internet, 32-inch TVs, coffeemakers, mini refrigerators, microwaves, large cozy beds and complimentary full breakfast for each guest.
Our sessions will include a panel of speakers who will dive deep into the scriptures to discover how you too can be ‘Empowered by the Spirit’. You are encouraged to bring a mentee so they can feel, witness and experience how the Holy Spirit can move into their lives.
Registration includes meals, scarf and other conference related materials. Room rates for traditional rooms are: $139 for Thursday night and $259 for Saturday. The cut-off date for reservations is September 10th. You are encouraged to share rooms (4 person) to maximize your cost.

Romans 8: 5-6 speaks to our minds and what we have our minds set on whether the flesh or the spirit. Where we set our minds determines the quality and outcome of our lives. If we want a life filled with the blessings of God, a life of peace, joy, and love, we need to change what we set our minds on. In the days ahead, we will be learning how to set our minds on the things of God. As our focus changes, we will begin to see the transformation and empowerment we hope for. So, be patient. Accept that it’s a process. Set your mind on God and allow yourself to be “Empowered by the Holy Spirit.”
